Realistically speaking, the Infinix Hot 10 Play is a decent and minimalist smartphone.

After a week and a half of using the Infinix Hot 10 Play, these are the last thoughts about our phone.

Remember, the Infinix HOT 10 Play was launched in Uganda in early March this year, as we see it succeed the HOT 9 Play in April 2020.

According to the company's PR and communications manager, the HOT 10 Play is the latest model of the company's HOT Play series. Ms. Isabel Ainambazi, this phone is designed for young people who demand high quality video and gameplay on cinema displays without sacrificing battery performance.

Acquired to review the phone, from our inbox, we noticed that it has slightly improved and upgraded compared to its predecessor HOT 9 Play. For example, batteries, chipsets, processors, operating systems, and GPUs. Improves phone performance. After mentioning the battery, it is the main selling point of the phone as it has Power Marathon technology which manages to give more power to the user when the battery is at the lowest percentage.

The design, build and display of the Infinix smartphone are literally the same. Usually when it comes to comparing its predecessors with other Infinix smartphones, it doesn't change much.

In the design, the power and volume buttons appear on the side right and the 2-in-1 card slot with two 4G Nano SIMs and a microSD card on the left side simultaneously. At the bottom is an earphone jack, USB Type-C port and a mouthpiece.

And finally on the design, the fingerprint sensor appears on the back (rear) with a dual rear camera. The front has a water drop mark that holds the front camera. The mark is not hardware, because if the user does not want it to be removed in its configuration, then it is a feature of software on the phone.

The phone has a 6.82 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The display produces accurate colors, fair contrast, dip blacks and white. It's a fun way to see the user through the colors, especially when it's fun. Under direct sunlight, the brightness is enough to read the text comfortably.

The bodybuilder has a glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame with thin bezels that give more space for display. It comes in Aegean Blue, Morandi Green, Obsidian Black, and Purple options. The back end has a glossy finish that makes it look shiny, and so the color pops out, and is reflective.

Finally, the phone is light in weight and comfortable in grip.

Software, Performance and Battery This is where the most fun comes in, as well as the phone's key selling points.

The Infinix Hot 10 Play offers a comprehensive, robust and smooth performance. It features a MediaTek Helio G25 chip set and Octa Core processor to improve performance, and an upgrade to GPU to improve the phone's graphics.

We mostly felt some breaks when the phone ran out of battery. However, the phone handles a multi-tasking heavy gaming substantially. Easier to operate and better when the phone has so much power and multi-task around apps that are not heavy enough to be processed simultaneously by the processor.

On the strength of offering good and stable performance, it comes with 6GB of RAM which contributes to a relatively smooth and smooth smartphone experience. As we mentioned earlier, the UI has a certain amount of space from animations to multitasking.

According to Infinix, the phone is setup on Android 10 (Go Edition) and upgraded to XOS UI, version 7. The XOS 7 interface is inspired by Iceland's green aurera. Meanwhile, the setup combines 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable with a microSD card of up to 128GB. Specifically, there is another HOT 10 Play variant that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

XOS V7 offers fast performance, fast and fluid experience and clean apps and design. The XOS UI comes with default apps that can't be installed, and ads and other promotional content that can't be removed. ۔

The key selling point is the battery. A non-refundable 6,000 mAh Li-Po battery that comes with an impressive Power Marathon technology that is able to give the user more use even in a low battery. To activate Ultra Power Mode at 15, you get enough battery that can take you a day when used sparingly.

When charging, since the phone does not support fast charging, charging like this is a bit slow, so we recommend that you charge the phone overnight while you sleep. From 0 to 50 nearly it takes about an hour and a half, from 100 to 100 it takes about 3 3 hours and 48 minutes to fully extract the juice. When used sparingly, it can last up to two and a half days on a single charge, and for heavy use, it can take up to a day and a half on a single charge.

Camera

The Infinix Hot 10 Play comes with a dual rear camera and a single front-facing camera with LED flash for low light setting. Both cameras are capable of playing videos at Full HD, 1080p at 30 frames per second. That way, you'll be able to get some good movie shots.

Cameras produce average and decent images, but with a few edits that are worth posting on social media, they can look much better. Shots with good details, sophistication and colors are good. There were good details in the close-ups until there was not enough light, but we found that when shooting under high light, the light is highlighted. The portrait format does a reasonable job for its opacity capability.

Photographs shot in low light had poor detailing and usually did not deteriorate as long as there was not enough light. Light is a must.

Fingerprint and Face Ad is a feature on every smartphone today. If performed well, it takes about a minute to configure both features. Fee ID is required where there is light for setup as well as when trying to unlock it. Unlike Fee ID, it can also be used to unlock fingerprint apps. The fingerprint sensor is re-mounted and fast so you can unlock your phone in a matter of microseconds.

Really speaking, the Infinix Hot 10 Play is a decent and minimalist smartphone. It does not change much compared to its predecessor, but produces better results. With its average performance, a clean user interface can add the phone to a suggested list thanks to its XOS upgrades, battery power marathon technology, and its capabilities.
